Fuego del Caribe (Cibao)

Summer Baseball In The Heart of Cibao

Fuego del Caribe brings Florida Canes to the Cibao for a summer week built around competitive baseball, Dominican culture, and the communities where the game is part of everyday life.
From July 31 through August 7, 2027, players will travel through the Cibao region competing against Dominican programs while experiencing a side of the country that goes far beyond the traditional resort destinations. This is a baseball journey through the interior of the Dominican Republic, where every stop brings a different atmosphere, community, and connection to the game.

The Fuego del Caribe Experience

Fuego del Caribe is built around the energy of summer baseball in the Dominican Republic. Players will compete against local programs throughout the Cibao while experiencing the communities, traditions, and everyday baseball culture that make this region such an important part of the game.
This experience is about more than the games. Players will travel together, represent Florida Canes internationally, meet Dominican players and coaches, and experience baseball in environments very different from what they are accustomed to in the United States.

Baseball. Culture. Cibao.

Fuego del Caribe will take players through Santiago, La Vega, Bonao, and San Francisco de Macorís, four communities that each bring their own character to the Cibao baseball experience. Rather than staying in one location for the entire week, players will experience different opponents, fields, communities, and environments as they travel through the region.

The result is a summer baseball experience built around competition, exploration, and relationships, giving players an opportunity to see the Dominican game from the inside while representing Florida Canes.
