More Than a Tournament. A Baseball Journey Through the Dominican Republic.
This Thanksgiving week, Florida Canes Baseball Academy returns to the Dominican Republic for Quisqueya Odyssey, an international baseball experience designed to give players and their families something far beyond the traditional tournament weekend.
From November 21–28, 2026, our players will travel across the Dominican Republic, competing against Dominican baseball programs while experiencing the communities, culture, and passion for baseball that make the country one of the most important baseball nations in the world.
Quisqueya Odyssey is not built around spending an entire week at one tournament complex. The country becomes part of the experience.

Quisqueya Odyssey takes our players beyond a single field or tournament complex and turns the Dominican Republic itself into part of the baseball experience.
During the week, Florida Canes will travel through four different Dominican cities, giving our players the opportunity to compete in different environments, face different opponents, and experience how the game is played across the country.
Our journey takes us from Villa Altagracia to Santiago, into the heart of the Cibao, then east to San Pedro de Macorís, one of the most celebrated baseball communities in the Dominican Republic, before continuing in Santo Domingo.
Every stop brings a different atmosphere, a different baseball experience, and another piece of Dominican culture.
This isn’t about traveling to the Dominican Republic just to play baseball. It’s about experiencing the Dominican Republic through baseball.
The Quisqueya Odyssey Journey
Saturday, November 21 | Santo Domingo
Arrival in the Dominican Republic and the beginning of the Quisqueya Odyssey experience.
Sunday, November 22 | Villa Altagracia
International baseball competition and activities in Villa Altagracia.
Monday, November 23 | Santiago
Travel to the Cibao for a day of baseball and experiences in Santiago.
Tuesday, November 24 | San Pedro de Macorís
Baseball in one of the Dominican Republic’s most storied baseball communities.
Wednesday, November 25 | Juan Dolio
A break from baseball with a resort experience for players and families.
Thursday, November 26 | Santo Domingo
Thanksgiving Day in the capital, including baseball activities and our Florida Canes Thanksgiving dinner.
Friday, November 27 | Santo Domingo
Our final day of baseball and activities in the Dominican Republic.
Saturday, November 28 | Departure
The conclusion of Quisqueya Odyssey and departure for home.
More Than Baseball
Quisqueya Odyssey is about more than the games we play. International travel gives players the opportunity to compete in new environments, experience a different style of baseball, and see the game through a different lens.
Away from the field, players and families will experience Dominican culture, travel across the country, spend a day together in Juan Dolio, and celebrate Thanksgiving in Santo Domingo.
The games are part of the journey. The experience is what makes it unforgettable.
What's Included
Your Quisqueya Odyssey player experience includes:
• International baseball games and competition throughout the Dominican Republic
• Team transportation between our designated hotel and scheduled baseball activities
• Florida Canes uniform package for the event
• MaxBats wood bat for participating players
• Player lunches on designated game days
• Juan Dolio resort day pass for the player

• Team activities and cultural experiences throughout the week
Airfare, airport transportation, hotel accommodations, and meals other than those specifically included in the program are not included in the player fee.
Who Can Participate?
Quisqueya Odyssey is open to players in the 13/14u and 15–18u age groups.
Players should be prepared for competitive international baseball, travel between multiple cities, and a team environment throughout the week.
Roster space is limited within each age group. Families interested in participating are encouraged to contact Florida Canes for additional information and availability.
